The Warriors track team enjoyed quite an exciting and successful CIF Prelims meet at Moorpark this past Saturday!

REVIEW:  Our girls put themselves in a great position to finish in the top 2 or 3 spots in the CIF Championships next Saturday, including winning the THIRD school championship at this meet.  The Warrior girls have finished SECOND the past two years.  Third time is the charm???

The following athletes and relays advanced to the CIF Championships with excellent performances:  Christine Babcock in the 1600 and 3200, Kyle Wolff in the 400 and 800 (PR with a huge race on Saturday), Becky Crouse in the discus (throwing a 7-foot PR), Gabrielle Scott in the 400 and 200 (big PR in this event), and the 4x400 relay (Wolff, Erica Teen, Babcock, Scott). 

Not advancing to the CIF championships but still performing well were:  Hector De Los Santos (missed the finals by .01 seconds and holds the first alternate spot in the 300 Hurdles), Philip Tramposh (missed qualifying by 1 miss in the HJ), the 4x100 relay team (Gia Trevisan, Scott, Bree Todd, Wolff) that finished second in their race and missed the finals by .4 seconds, Sarah Toberty in the 800, and Erica Teen in the 100 Hurdles.

WEEKLY SCHEDULE:

CIF-SS Championships at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut.  WHS to 5-N to 57-N to where the 57 joins briefly with the 60.  Exit at the first off-ramp as the 57 splits with the 60 which is Grand Avenue and turn left.  Go to Temple and turn right.  Go to the 2nd signal and turn left.  The parking lot to the Stadium is on the right.  You want to go to the far end of the parking lot to park.  Follow the tunnel to the stadium. 

** UPDATE ** No Bus.  Will caravan at time to be determined. 

Our girls have secured enough qualifying spots to put us in a great position to bring home the first place trophy this year.  We have finished second the past two years at these championships and this is our best chance to win our THIRD ever team CIF-SS title.  It would cap off a great year of track as we already have finished second in Orange County.
