Babcock sets County and School Record at Arcadia

At the Arcadia Invitational on Saturday, senior Christine Babcock set a new school record with a 10:04.03 finish in the Women's Invitational 3200 Meter Run, breaking her own previous record by more than eleven seconds, in an amazing race.
For Babcock, this was a new Orange County Record, the #4 time ever in California, and the #8 all-time performance in the nation.
Competing against 2007 World Junior champion Jordan Hasay (Mission College Prep, San Luis Obispo, CA), Christine took over the lead to the race coming into the fourth lap and held the lead until the final 50 meters. The two athletes raced side-by-side for all but those last 50 meters.
