IWN: Warriors baseball offense too much for Garden Grove

Woodbridge 14, Garden Grove 4:  Woodbridge High's baseball team notched its second victory of the season, defeating Garden Grove, 14-4, in the opening round of the Beach Pit Classic Saturday in Costa Mesa.  Woodbridge (2-12 Overall) pounded out 19 hits in support of Max Iskra, who went the distance and allowed just one earned run.

The Warriors scored six runs in the fifth inning and five more in the sixth inning to break the game open.

Leading the offensive attack was James Parr, who was 3 for 4 with three doubles, three runs scored and three RBIs.  Garrett Smith was 3 for 4 with a double, a three-run home run in the fourth and four RBIs.  J.J. Altobelli, who last week committed to play baseball at the University of Oregon, was 2 for 3 with two runs scored.
