Babcock sets Meet and School Record in 800m

Senior Christine Babcock, in her first invitational 800-meter race of the season, set both a school and meet record Saturday at the Trabuco Hills Invitational at Trabuco Hills High School. Irvine World News article on Christine's event
Babcock's time of 2:10.15 breaks the 22-year-old school record of 2:11.23 previously set by Sheri Smith in 1986. Her time is also the fastest 800-meter time in the state this year.
Also at the Trabuco Invitational, junior Shane Berglas won the 3200-meter seeded race with a time of 9:42.50, a thirteen-plus second PR, placing him third on the school's All-Time Top-10 Performers list. Irvine World News article on Shane's event
