Track Girls Beat El Toro with Final 4x400m Relay

WHS Boys 47, El Toro 89;  WHS Girls 72, El Toro 64:  The Warriors Girls Track team, ranked third in Orange County, won a closely contested track meet against El Toro Thursday afternoon at El Toro High School by winning the last event of the day, the 4x400 meter Relay in a time of 4:04.  The Warriors Girls team remains undefeated in dual meet action.

  

The Boys Track team lost to a strong El Toro team but won several key events including the concluding 4x400m Relay.

  

Key performances against El Toro included:  First-second place finishes by Kyle Wolff and Gabrielle Scott in the 400 meters and Christine Babcock and Sarah Toberty in both the 1600 meters and 800 meters; four wins by Babcock (1600m, 800m, 3200m, 4x400m Relay); personal bests in the 200 meters by Scott (26.44) and Gia Trevisan (27.0); and, a personal best by Adam Garrett in the 400 meters (51.6).
