Apr 4, 2008 -- El Toro (and Spring Break Schedule)
RESULTS from the El Toro Meet: Boys Varsity 47-89; Girls Varsity 72-64; Frosh/Soph Boys 72-62; JV Girls 64-63; JV Boys 78-55.
REVIEW: We enjoyed an excellent meet and registered some excellent and impressive marks. El Toro is one of the top track programs in the County and we were able to not only compete well with them but ended up defeating them in 4 of the 5 divisions. Even though we were defeated on the Boys Varsity, we still enjoyed some great competitions. Congratulations to every single athlete on our team on your efforts and results. Our goal was that if any of their athletes finished ahead of us in an event, we would challenge them to earn that victory and that we would in turn perform at our season and personal best marks. This happened in many cases. Great Job!
ATHLETES OF THE MEET: We will wait until after the Trabuco Invitational and post it on our web page. But in consideration will be: Andrew Burde, Taylor Perez, Jennie Krauser, Gia Trevisan, Bree Todd, Evan Rude, Adam Garrett, Derrick Fleming and Philip Tramposh.
SPRING BREAK: We have the opportunity to continue the successful season we have enjoyed thus far. Our toughest and most crucial meets are coming up after Spring Break. In the three weeks that are left for the regular season, we will be competing at the Arcadia Invitational, the Orange County Championships, against Trabuco Hills and Huntington Beach in dual meets, and at the League Finals. I hope that you value what you have accomplished thus far and have learned the lessons for success to make sure that you will follow through on what the coaches and team captains expect of each of you during this break in terms of training.

Wed, Apr 9th:
- Spring Break Workout - 9:00am @ WHS
- Horizontal Jumps Workout - 3:00pm @ WHS
Thu, Apr 10th:
- Spring Break "Make up" Workout - 3:00pm @ WHS
Fri, Apr 11th:
- Spring Break "Make up" Workout - 9:00am @ WHS
EXPECTATIONS: Each athlete will complete at least three coach-practices. Obviously, additional workouts are welcomed. Consequences previously discussed will result if the 3 workouts are not completed.
- If you are going on a family vacation, then please have your parents sign off on the workouts that you completed while away from Irvine. Click here for the Spring Break Workout Form that you can print out.
- If you come back to Irvine before the week is out, join us in the makeup workouts.
