Woodbridge 5, Northwood 7:  In an exciting intra-city contest that challenged both squads, Northwood boys lacrosse defeated Woodbridge Thursday afternoon at Northwood.  The sideline was energized with enthusiastic support for both teams.

Woodbridge midfielder Jeffrey Cramer drew first blood with an early goal in the first quarter.  Northwood answered with a goal by sophomore attackman Aaron Bucka.  At halftime, the teams were tied 2-2.

Defense on both teams was exceptional, led by goalkeepers John Barns for Woodbridge (12 saves) and Vijay Sharma for Northwood (13 saves).

Despite consecutive goals by Woodbridge, the Timberwolves fired back with plays featuring Steven Birnbaum, Stanton Sharpe, Brian Collins and Kevin Rowan and emerged with the victory.
