Apr 9, 2007 -- Northwood, Arcadia Invitational
REVIEW: Northwood results: Boys Varsity (51-85 Northwood), Girls Varsity (97-39 Woodbridge), Boys Frosh/Soph (76-42 Woodbridge), Boys JV (74-50 Woodbridge), Girls JV (77-59 Northwood). It was a fun meet overall for both schools. We enjoyed some great performances in the lower level boys and the varsity girls in this meet. Our boys’ varsity was once again missing some of our athletes and we were quite timid in some of our events. It certainly is not the kind of a season that we anticipated but not too late to turn it around and finish strong. We simply will have to have strong practices and all of our athletes present in these practices.
At Arcadia, our three teams competed well and enjoyed a fun meet. Christine Babcock finished second in the 3200m and set a new school record with the great time of 10:20.01.
The 4x400m relay of Kyle Wolff (56.9), Sarah Toberty (59.8), Christine Babcock (58.7) and Cassie Stanislaw (57.7) finished first in the meet with a 3:53.6 (tied for the 3rd fastest time ever in school history).
The 4 x 1mile relay team of Bobby Bishop (4:36), Danny Antrim (4:53), Bryan ten Bosch (4:58) and Conrad Wozniak (4:32) ran faster than we did last week at the Trabuco Invitational.
ATHLETES OF THE WEEK: Chelsea Hillary enjoyed a wonderful meet against Northwood for the girls while Scott Belz had a PR Pole Vault (12’0”) and ran a strong 200 and a strong relay leg. The 4x400m Relay team of Kyle Wolff, Sarah Toberty, Christine Babcock, and Cassie Stanislaw were the athletes for the Arcadia meet for the girls and Conrad Wozniak ran like the Conrad we know with a great relay leg to bring the team from 2nd to last to the top 10.
