Congratulations to Alison Chen, a senior driver, who was just named to the 2010 Irvine All-City Water Polo team, published by the Irvine World News.   

Additionally, juniors Mindy Schlitt, Nikki Thurber, and Taylor Pijl were awarded honorable mention all-city.

The girl’s Varsity and JV water polo teams dominated in the pool against University High School on Monday, Jan. 11th at the Woollett Aquatics Center, Woodbridge’s home pool.  The varsity team’s 10-1 victory was lead by Senior Amanda Sneed’s five goals, followed by two goals each from Senior Allison Chen and Junior Taylor Pijl.  Freshman Lauren Babb scored one.  Chen, Pijl, and Junior Nicole Thurber each assisted on two goals each and Sneed assisted with one goal. Junior goalie Mindy Schlitt blocked eight shots on goal, limiting the University team to just one.

The Junior Varsity team won with a solid 11 goals to University’s four.
