Warrior Volleyball Finishes Outstanding Season

The WHS Girls Varsity Volleyball teams finished the fall season with an overall record of 21-9, ranked 9th in Orange county all season and won the SeaView League, undefeated with a 10-0 record and then advanced to CIF Div IIAA but lost to Edison in the first round. It was a great overall season for the girls and we want to congratulate the all-league and all-city selections.

Congratulations Warrior Girls Volleyball!

Girls Volleyball Clinch Sea View League Title

WHS Volleyball Action

The 2007 Varsity Girls Volleyball team was slow out of the gate, losing to top ranked Santa Margarita, but turned the corner after the Dave Moh’s Tournament in mid-September. The team finished 2nd in the silver bracket which was 18th overall out of 64 teams. Currently 20-8 overall and crowned the Sea View League champs with a 10-0 record. A slight hiccup in the season with 2 matches last week, postponed due to the wildfires; forcing the squad to play 4 straight matches the following week. The biggest match was Halloween Night against El Toro and a victory would clinch the Sea View League title!

CIF is the next step, beginning on Tuesday, Nov. 6th with a home match. We hope to see the Warrior Volleyball Squad competing deep into the CIF playoffs in mid-November. Stay tuned!

Some Season highlights thus far: Beat rival Tesoro HS to start the season, 3-1 followed by the 18th place finish in the Dave Moh’s tourney
