Practices
1) Start at 2:20pm with 3 laps of jogging for everyone. We meet every day and every Saturday regardless of the weather (unless otherwise announced) during the season. If we have inclement weather, we meet in the quad or in the gym.
2) Practices normally end at 4:15pm for the majority of athletes. If we go to do hill workout, this will add another 45 minutes to our workout time. Varsity-level athletes start their practices on Tuesdays at 4:15pm at Irvine H. S.
3) Everyone needs to be at our practices each day dressed for a workout. Injured or sick athletes that attend school during the day are expected to be at our practices dressed out. Injured or sick athletes will be expected to walk, stretch, lift weights, etc. (whenever possible). Attending classes during the school day and coming back with illness 6th period excuse will count as a missed practice.
4) Doctor, dental, etc. appointments need to be made for Wednesdays and Fridays after 3:00pm, whenever possible to minimize missing practices.
5) Four or more missed practices will result in being kept out of meets, loss of varsity letter, or removed from the team with an “F” in the class. Injured or ill athletes that come to school must come to practice.
